
B.L. TEZZA - KARUNGU
NURSERY
AND PRIMARY SCHOOL FOR ORPHANS
The
school, near St. Camillus Mission hospital started in 1999 September.
It is managed by the local community of Karungu. There 360 orphaned
children who attend the school (as at November 2006) who have
lost either one or both parents to HIV Aids. The age ranges between
2 to 12 years. In the school there is a nursery which will last
a period of
2 years and a primary school which will last 8 years; the
children attend school from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00p.m.
There
are different types of sponsorships for these orphans, and the number
of orphans increases due to the wide spread of AIDS.
Our
objective is to give them the possibility to improve their living
condition while attending school and while receiving food.

SECONDARY SCHOOL
The secondary
school is a part of B.L. TEZZA Complex. It has started in February
2005. There are 86 students to attend the first and the second
year. In January 2007 the 3th year began, with 43 new students
The istinstitution is registreted as a government school and managed
by the interior executive commitee. The Cammilians offer the building
and are the major sponsor.
